Another Monday

Mondays are always rotten. I have to DRAG myself out of bed because I am SO tired from the weekend. Which I think is hilarious because shouldn't you come back from a weekend well rested? Is there such a thing when you have a baby and three other children though?

I don't do laundry on Sunday unless I have to so that means I wake up to mountains of it on Monday! How do six people make so many dirty clothes? That doesn't help my attitude.

Caden gets mad at me for not letting him take his new Pokemon book to school. So he throws the most ridiculous tantrum that I have ever seen a 7 almost 8 year old do. We are talking kicking, screaming, tears, yelling. So he goes to school glaring at me.

I got bit by a dog a month ago and the scar has something poking out of it that looks like a stitch that didn't dissolve. I think it is getting infected. :( I am terrified to go back to the doctor though. I am feeling very protective over my body all of a sudden. I don't want some doctor messing it up! Crazy? Maybe a little.

I get a shower first thing after the kids are at school......that never happens.

I pick up Lucas from school. The back of someone's car is totally smashed. Someone got in a car wreck moments before I got there. It wasn't me. Thank heavens. Perhaps Monday COULD be worse.

I loathe making lunch (almost always). I try not to show it though. Lucas looks in the fridge and picks my FAVORITE lunch. Fried mashed potatoes with melted cheese on top. My little angel! :)

I get to snuggle this little guy.....

and actually get a 20 minute nap!!! SUCCESS! I love this picture because he ALWAYS scrunches his forehead like this. He has been doing it since the day he was born and I love it.

And then if that isn't enough.... I capture this.....

How could THIS not change anyone's day???

So now that I am being more rational about Monday, I have decided maybe it is all about waking up with the right attitude. Even though I am tired, maybe I should try harder to have a more positive outlook.

I am so grateful to be blessed with the most wonderful job in the world. These boys do more for me than they realize. I hope that I do just as much and more for them.

I decided to make today, Saturday. Even though it is not Saturday. However, mine was taken from be by the Boy Scouts of America!!

That did not work so well. Now I feel like I need another day off to re-coup from my busy "Saturday" and there is NO Sunday to follow.

You can't win!

Does anyone like Mondays? I always hate that my weekends are spent, most of the time, getting caught up on all my chores that I have neglected during the week. What does Davon do during the day with you?

Monday is my only day of the week where I don't have any commitments, so I love having a day to run errands or do whatever I feel like I need to. Your baby is adorable.

I am definitely going to have to "lock up my daughters"! Because your kids are just too darn cute. Glad it wasn't your car smashed! I can't imagine what 6 people's laundry looks like. It overwhelms me to even think of it. I LOATHE laundry. It my house was what it ate, it would be laundry ;)
